Purpose
The purpose of the Cleveland City Schools Professional Development Department is to operate a system that attracts, retains, trains, and supports all staff for continuous improvement. The STaR Center is the primary training facility, however; training is offered anywhere in the system.
Faculty, staff, and friends of Cleveland City Schools may register for classes in the summer on a variety of subjects aligned with the system strategic plan and the school improvement plans for each school. There is no cost to Cleveland City School employees. During the school year, classes are provided to help our staff make data driven decisions and learn research-based practices.
Out of System Professional Development must be
approved by the Professional Development Department.
