Wrong teacher in Class Information and Roster will not Import

 

The roster does not update correctly when teachers swap classes or a teacher leaves and another teacher takes over the class.  The roster will not import and the existing class file will show the old teacher name on the Class Information dialog under the Class menu.

 

Perform the following steps to correct this problem:

The separator bar that we used to have to separate grading periods is not longer In the new version of eClass Grades.  Instead the grading period will be separated by color.

 

Perform the following steps if there is no separation between grading periods:

 

Notes:

A. If this is a case where the teachers are swapping classes you will need to warn the teacher not to open his/her class files while you are working on this.

 

B. Make sure that the class file has been written for the new teacher.

 

C. Make sure that the "Automatic Import" option in the Preferences is checked.

 

Steps:

1. Locate the old teacher folder and rename it.

2. Open the class file from the new teacher folder

3. Click the "Look for Roster File" button

4. Save the Class

5. Repeat steps 1-4 for each class file.

6. If this is a case where the teachers swapped classes, rename the old teacher folder back to the original name.
